Vacaville tourism official named for position in Western States Trade Group


Melyssa Reeves, President and CEO of Visit Vacaville, has been named Chair of the Destination Marketing Association of the West (DMA West) Board of Directors.

The Trade Group is a regional trade association serving more than 150 destination marketing and management organizations in the West. The board is made up of members representing the destinations of Rapid City, South Dakota; Salem, Oregon; Arlington, TX; Cheyenne, Wyoming; Vancouver, Washington; Tuolumne County, California; North Tahoe, Nevada; Ketchikan, Alaska; and Plano, Texas.

“I have had the privilege of being involved with DMA West for the past 20 plus years. This association has provided some of the best professional development, networking and experience in the industry,” said Reeves. “Personally, the friendships I’ve made through DMA West are invaluable and extend far beyond the company.”

Visit Vacaville is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization funded by the collection of a membership fee paid by hotel guests in the town of Solano County. It is responsible for developing an annual tourism marketing plan and its implementation through advertising, public relations, the development of tourism packages, online and electronic means and participation in consumer and professional fairs.
