Jesslyn Jackson is the new Executive Director of Russian River Valley Winegrowers, the 200-member business group formed in 1994.
âJesslyn brings exceptional industry experience and has a proven ability to develop meaningful vineyard marketing programs, create unique events and serve as a strong champion for our region,â said Clark Lystra, Chairman of the Board of administration of Russian River Valley Winegrowers, in Monday’s announcement. “As we look forward to a year of reopening, we are delighted to have the energy and expertise of Jesslyn.”
Jackson was previously Director of Memberships and International Programs for Sonoma County Vintners, where she managed large-scale marketing, educational and business events around the world. She also held positions in hospitality and wine sales, and spent a season as a grape harvest intern, the association said.
His appointment comes at a time when pandemic restrictions – enforced in a rocking fashion since last March of last year – are starting to wane in time for visitors to return this summer.
âAfter a year of virtual events, we know wine lovers are eager to come out from behind their screens,â Lystra continued. âOur members have created exciting experiences, with organized tastings and tours that make for a very personalized visit. It is a wonderful time to come to the region.
Jackson added, âWith its rich history, friendly spirit and diverse terrain, this region has so much to offer. I am honored to join RRVW and I am determined to work closely with the Board of Directors and our members to raise even more awareness of the people, places and distinctive wines of the Russian River Valley, a place that I have been. happy to call my home for almost a decade
