DENVER – Elyse Blazevich, co-founder of medical device manufacturing startup Securisyn Medical LLC, is the new president and CEO of the Colorado Bioscience Association industrial trade group.
She succeeds Jennifer Jones Paton, who quit earlier this year to focus on her baby girl.
âIn all respects, the Colorado life science community is growing and maturing. I am ready to accelerate the ecosystem’s momentum and work closely with the CBSA Board of Directors, team, members, sponsors and partners to expand Colorado’s presence as a North America’s life sciences hub, âBlazevich said in a prepared statement.
Blazevich will remain on Securisym’s board when she takes up her new role next month, according to the CBSA press release.
Prior to co-founding this company, Blazevich led investor relations at the South Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.
âElyse is the perfect fit for this key role in Colorado’s life science ecosystem. Her expertise as the Founder and CEO of Medical Technologies, a leader in the business community, a member and committee chair of the CBSA Board of Directors and an expert in revenue generation for non-profit organizations will enable her to get going, âsaid the vice-chair of the CBSA board of directors. Kathleen Traylor said in the statement.
