René Dentiste Mueller, professor of international marketing at the College of Charleston School of Business, has been named co-chair of the SC International Trade Coalition.

The coalition is an organization comprised of government agencies, trade associations, educational institutions, and other organizations providing export services to South Carolina businesses. The coalition also contributes to state enterprise training and awareness programs.

“It is a privilege to co-chair the South Carolina International Trade Coalition,” Mueller said in a college press release. “Ninety-five percent of global consumers live outside of the United States. To succeed in today’s market, companies must seek out international opportunities. For more than 15 years, SC International Trade Coalition members have worked hard to help SC companies, large and small, find new overseas markets for their products and services.

At the College of Charleston, Muller is Director of the International Business Program and the Global Business Resource Center. The centre, housed within the School of Business, supports the development of international education opportunities so that students can acquire the international business skills needed to compete in today’s globalized economy, the statement said. Press. It also serves the global business community by hosting and supporting several training and education programs, such as the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional training course.
